  Draft season is the best time of the year for any sport, but NBA is special with the lottery and players wearing hats they aren't even going to. This draft class is GOOD and I love it. NBA draft is the best because the picks are in right away compared to other leagues. The top 3 changed last second and kicked off the draft with a bang right away. I will be breaking down the lottery then give out awards. Let's get into the picks. 1 - Orlando Magic - Paolo Banchero - Duke  I thought all along that Paolo Banchero was the best player in the draft and the most ready NBA player. Seeing him play against Gonzaga early on in the season, proved why he should be the number one player. Paolo now joins Shaq, Chris Webber, and Dwight Howard as the number one picks in team history. Paolo is great offensively but needs to work on his defense. Will be interesting to see Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs team up with Paolo Banchero.        The dunk contest is a dying event in the NBA but fans still tune in every year to see if it will ever return to how exciting it was in the 90s. We got lucky with the battle of Aaron Gordan vs Zach LaVine battle back in 2016 but other than that, it has been a boring Saturday night. Many people have come out and said to put the 3 point contest after the dunk contest because that is more entertaining now. But I can see this reality where I win the dunk contest next year and revive the dunk contest.      I would not originally get picked to the dunk contest because I am not an NBA player but this is still a plan after the four contestants announced. The four contestants would be Jaden Ivey, Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, and reigning champ Obi Toppin. There is always one rookie that participates with bunnies and Jaden Ivey fits this description perfectly. Ja Morant has been pretty open about not participating unless he gets paid but...

       Daniel Jones has been pretty bad since he joined the league back in 2019. Daniel Jones has played in 36 career games and has 36 career fumbles. To have a fumble a game is pretty bad for a starting NFL quarterback. I decided to sit back and kick my feet up, making a list of every quarterback that is better than Daniel Jones.      Yeah, that's me. Crossing up everything in sight and looking to be the next Larry Bird back in the day. One of my old basketball coaches compared me to LeBron James playing against 8th graders in one of his camps. I was absolutely blown away and instantly knew I was league bound. I am going to try and find the lost tapes, I know you guys want to see it.     Watching the NBA playoff and it always has me thinking, what role would I want to have in the NBA? The perfect role is Duncan Robinson. Not a specific all-star, champion, or bench player but Duncan Robinson. Duncan Robinson was a key player for the Heat and has been a huge key to their success.      However you ended up on this blog, welcome. But since you started you might as well finish this blog and read some other pieces. I know nothing is up yet and this is the first piece but maybe when you read this, there will be other pieces up.       As you know I had a podcast called 6th Man Blitz and started it back in November of 2020. I started it with my lifelong best friend, Micah Huff, and loved every second of doing. Doing it for almost a year and a half is exhausting, doing an episode every week is tough. I decided to step away and I'm excited to see what Micah does with 6th Man Blitz moving forward. Maybe I'll appear on a episode down the road, we'll see.      I did not want to do 6th Man Blitz anymore but I still wanted to do something and that is exactly what I am doing here with Monstah Writes.
