Illinois Can Win The Big Ten West

The Big Ten has been one of the most interesting conferences in all of college football this season. There seems to be 2 categories, the Big Dawgs and Trash Teams in the Midwest. The Big Dawgs consist of Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State which seems to be the teams competing for the Big Ten title every year. One of these schools have won the Big Ten title dating all the way back to 2016. The other category is the Trash Teams in the Midwest which includes the 11 other Big Ten team. The West just seems to knock off each other by beating each other on the road each week. Wisconsin were the preseason favorites and no longer have a coach. Minnesota seemed to run the west and now lost to Purdue AT HOME DURING HOMECOMING. Looking around the west it is anyones for the taking. Illinois makes the most sense to win the west.

Bret Bielema has the boys ready for any challenge and playing the best football Illinois has played in YEARS. Chase Brown is playing like Heisman finalist and guiding Illinois in the right direction. Brown is also leading the country and Big Ten in rushing yards. The crossover games for Illinois include Indiana, Michigan State, and Michigan. Illinois already lost to Indiana on the road. But Illinois plays Michigan State who is down this year at home but also have to travel to the big house. If Illinois wins 1 of the 2 games against the Michigan schools and win 3 or 4 games in the West, Illinois will be playing in Indianapolis.

Imagine a world where Illinois plays in a Big Ten championship under Bret Bielema in his 2nd year. College football fans around the country would have laughed at you and Illinois fans wouldn't have believed it either.  Lets just say it feels like 2007 again in Champaign, don't be surprised if Illinois ripped off a run here. The Illini end up in Indianapolis and Brown ends up in New York.
